2nd Call for the Cross-Community Exchange Internship Programme by the ‘Leading by Example’ project

The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce announced the launch of the 2nd Call of the Cross-Community exchange internship programme of young unemployed professionals in the Greek Cypriot and the Turkish Cypriot communities. Advantages of Membership

  • Indirect access to the decision – making centres through the Chamber’s representation in a large number of tripartite and other committees but also through direct access to the Government, the House of Representatives and other authorities.

  • Provision of confidential reports on foreign and Cypriot enterprises in co – operation with the internationally renowned organisation Dun & Bradstreet.
  • Arbitration services for the settlement of trade disputes.
  • Access to the results of studies and surveys conducted by the CCCI relating to business, market and more generally economic issues.

Moreover the CCCI:

  • Represents the business community of Cyprus in international fora and organisations.
  • Organizes seminars abroad for the promotion of Cyprus as international business center.
  • Participates in European Union programmes and initiatives which are of particular interest to the business people.
  • Offers secretarial and advisory services to the Professional Associations affiliated to it.
  • Has established GS1 Cyprus, responsible for the administration and promotion of the GS1 system (bar coding service) in Cyprus
  • Operates a Mailing Labels Service.
  • Organises professional examinations in a number of business – related subjects.
  • Provides information on environmental issues, on questions relating to the technological upgrading of industrial units, on investment matters, on port issues and on economic issues arising from the relationship of Cyprus with the European Union.
  • Issues ATA – CARNETS which are, essentially, passports for merchandise; the ATA – CARNET is an international customs document which exempts the temporary export of professional equipment for personal use, commercial samples and exhibits for trade fairs from customs procedures and the imposition of duties.
